Have you experienced moments when your anxiety or stress-level seems to be unbearable? Is constant worrying or "feeling out of control" distressing you to the point where your job performance or academic work is suffering? Maybe even your daily routine of activities has become hard to manage, as those periods of negative feelings become more common. Constant worrying and excessive stress can interrupt healthy sleep-patterns, cause depression, and affect your physical health!

Unresolved anxiety can cause* the following physical symptoms: muscle tension and aches, digestive problems, excessive sweating, clammy hands, being easily startled, fatigue, irritability, restlessness, and difficulty concentrating. Over time, the damage from stress becomes more severe. Heart disease (including blocked arteries and heart attacks), impaired memory, weight gain (particularly abdomen fat), diseases related to decreased immune system response (e.g., peptic ulcers), problematic pregnancies and long-term effects on newborns, and even chromosome damage are all linked to enduring stress! If you're experiencing three or more of the above symptoms, anxiety and stress are likely creating more chaos in your life, and relationships, than is healthy.

Here's where Relaxation Therapy can help! Through a mixture of guided-imagery and meditation techniques, a state of relaxation is induced. While in this relaxed state, individuals will be able to quiet anxiety or stress, ease physical tension, and increase calmness and composure. Individual results will vary, but many clients report long lasting effects. Relaxation Therapy works well in conjunction with massage therapy, psychotherapy, and other holistic stress or anxiety management treatments.
