Edith Barreira, MFT

I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and in 2002 relocated to the United States. After settling in Miami, I decided to change careers to pursue my passion for psychology, and completed a masters degree at Carlos Albizu University.

My clinical experience comprises working with young adults, other individuals, couples, and families, on various issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, grief or loss, and trauma.

Recently, I’ve worked very closely with the LGBTQ community, but I welcome clients of all sexual orientations and gender expressions.

My clinical approach includes a variety of systemic interventions to help consumers achieve their therapeutic goals, in a supportive and non-judgmental environment.

Edith Barreira is a Registered MFT Intern, #IMT1927. She holds a M.F.T. from Carlos Albizu University.
